Free blog background for Isabel (and anyone who wants it)

September 14, 2011

free backgrounds, freebies, slider

Isabel contacted me asking if I could help her out with a farm themed blog design for her class blog. Obviously I’m not doing custom work anymore, but I quickly created this background for Isabel and anyone else who wants it because I thought it might be something that people would like. I am releasing just the background for now, but I’ll try and make some other bits for it this week, so that you can do another “build your blog”.

As with all of my freebies, downloading and using my graphics implies that you have read, understood and agree to my terms of use

Background

To install the background, just download the code by clicking the “download” link beneath your chosen background. Copy the code and then paste it into a html widget in your sidebar.

I knew it was beautiful! But I can’t use this as a template for my blog, right? I’m a little ignorant with this topic….sorry for the question. Congrats! you’re very talented- :)

No, I haven’t got time to make a full template at the moment and people recently have been asking for backgrounds and NOT full templates. So, this is a background only but I hope to have a header and some other bits for it….in a build a blog kind of way. I have some tutorials on installing various parts of the blog template, including installation via Template Designer. For these backgrounds you can install in the following way:

To install the backgrounds, just download the code by clicking the “download” link beneath your chosen background. Copy the code and then paste it into a html widget in your sidebar.

Hi again Louise, sorry to bother so much. Do you know in which tutorial can I see that can explain this better? I’m not familiar with html widgets and such….so I still don’t know how to install…..How embarrassing!!! sorry again…..

You’re welcome Isabel. I am still intending to add a header and other things to this set, but haven’t had chance yet.

I just installed it on my weight loss blog (thislittlewwpiggy.blogspot)
and Louise, i so love this. From the cow to the chickens, lol, it makes me smile whenever i look at it. It’s a hard blog for me to write at due to the topic, but this background makes it easier to go and post there.

        How are you, btw?

Cool, I’m glad you are enjoying it. I am trying to address my weight again but must admit I’m only getting it right about half of the time. Booooooo…..

I’m ok – still got various infections that don’t want to go away but I think I’ve accepted that I’m going to have them (and occasional flare ups) long term. I just wish that fighting them didn’t drain my energy so much. On a day to day basis though it’s “business as usual” though I’m trying to take better care of myself and am doing a pretty good job at the moment LOL.

Please do keep in touch Isabel as it sounds liek we have a lot in common :)
